The Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Usmonzoda Khairiddin held a meeting with the Director of Tehran International Studies and Research Institute Abed Akbari in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the outset of the meeting, Abed Akbari welcomed the Tajik delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran and noted that the establishment of joint scientific-research cooperation with the Center for Strategic Studies as vital.
Abid Akbari expressed that the expansion of scientific and analytical relations and joint research regarding various regional and international issues will enable intellectual centers to provide useful recommendations for the protection of mutually beneficial interests of their countries.
While expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and fraternal hospitality extended to him and to the members of his delegation throughout their stay in Tehran, Usmonzoda noted the vital importance of development of scientific-analytical cooperation between the intellectual centers of the two countries.
It was emphasized that the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon to the Islamic Republic of Iran gave a serious impetus to further expansion of bilateral cooperation, in particular between intellectual institutions of the two countries.
It should be noted that this year following the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Iran, a number of joint events are being held.
The discussion also focused on increasing dangerous and threats of modern times and other global issues. In this regard, the two sides expressed their interest in the expansion of scientific and analytical cooperation.
